Designing and manufacturing with next-generation materials

Material innovation is accelerating. Brands want to build responsibly and consumers are looking for more conscious options.
Clima is the system that brings it all together.

Clima Collective is building that system for India.

We bring together material expertise, design capability, ethical manufacturing, and supply chain traceability into one integrated ecosystem enabling brands to move from idea to finished product with clarity, credibility, and confidence.
From idea to finished product in a single seamless process. Made in India, for the world.

We work with 3 kinds of clients through specialized verticals.

We support brands and organisations with responsible materials, design advisory, sourcing, scalable production and credible reporting enabling the entire responsible product creation process.

From idea to finished product, what it looks like to work with us.

Typical timeline: 8–16 weeks, depending on scale and level of customisation.
1.

Listening & Alignment

We begin by understanding your product idea, audience, timelines, and sustainability priorities to define a clear, grounded direction.

2.

Design & Material Direction

We translate your brief into product concepts and identify the right materials, refining the direction together before moving ahead.

3.

Sampling & Refinement

We develop mockups and physical samples for you to review, test, and refine ensuring every detail is right before production.

4.

Production & Delivery

Once approved, we move into manufacturing with close quality oversight, followed by careful packaging and reliable delivery, whether domestic or international.

At every stage, we integrate compliance and reporting ensuring full transparency and confidence throughout the process.

Built on Experience. Backed by Systems.

We combine decades of leather craft expertise with new-age material research and modern practices.

Enabling future-forward brands.

Our mission is simple, to combine our expertise and experience, to help brands create products that are thoughtful, durable, and responsibly made, without losing sight of what it takes to make them work in the real world.
Responsible by default.
Responsible production at Clima Collective is built into every stage of how we work, from ethical labour practices and safe working conditions to material traceability and supply chain transparency.
We take a clear, measured approach to sustainability, recognising that not every material is perfect and not every claim is verifiable. Our role is to help you navigate these choices with honesty and context, so you can build products that are credible, compliant and genuinely better.
Our manufacturing facility is built specifically for working with plant-based and next-generation materials.
Rather than adapting legacy systems designed for leather or synthetics, we’ve developed processes that are better suited to how these materials behave. This helps reduce damage, minimise waste, and maintain consistency in production.
With integrated sampling capabilities and a studio-like environment, we ensure ideas move fluidly from concept to prototype to manufacturing without unnecessary friction.
We work closely with leading material innovators, but more importantly, we spend time understanding how materials actually perform.
Every material behaves differently on the table, on the machine, and over time. Before recommending anything, we test for durability, finish, product and design compatibility.
What this means in practice is simple: the guidance you receive is based on hands-on experience, not assumptions or surface-level claims.
Our roots lie in over 50 years of leather goods manufacturing and craftsmanship. Over time, this has evolved into a manufacturing ecosystem trusted by brands across markets.
Working closely with materials, artisans, and global clients over decades has shaped how we approach product development today: with precision, patience, and a deep respect for process.
This experience allows us to guide brands through the realities of production, from sampling and timelines to scaling responsibly.
Our karigars combine traditional craftsmanship with techniques adapted for alternative materials.
Working with plant-based materials requires a different approach from traditional leather craftsmanship. Our artisans are trained specifically to understand how these materials behave during cutting, stitching and finishing.
This blend of traditional skill and new techniques allows us to maintain high standards of finish while respecting the unique characteristics of alternative materials.
From material advisory and design to sampling and production, we support the entire journey.
Many brands struggle because each stage is handled in isolation with materials, design, and manufacturing rarely speak to each other. This often leads to delays, compromises, and avoidable mistakes.
By bringing everything under a single ecosystem, we’ve created a more aligned process where ideas move forward with clarity and coordination.

Tested certified and production ready materials.

At Clima Collective, material choice shapes everything that follows. It influences how a product performs, how it’s made, and how long it lasts.
We work with a curated selection of plant-based and next-generation materials developed by leading innovators. Each material is rigorously evaluated and backed by relevant certifications before it becomes part of our library.
